Role Overview: The Solutions Architect will enjoy taking ownership of the strategic delivery of technology architecture strategy including designing, refining, and uplifting system architecture to meet the expectations of customers. Your role will provide a critical capability in helping technology delivery teams understand how their program progress fits into the wider group view and on how to best structure Ab Initio technology solutions to stay future fit, compliant, and best in market.
Roles and Responsibilities
Engages with clients to discover, analyze, and document client business requirements, and translate them into technical terms to drive team efforts to design, build, and manage technology solutions that solve business problems.
Designing solutions and system and software architecture according to business strategies and architecture standards/processes.
Support the Sales team from the beginning of a sales cycle to understand a client's overall technology direction and apply expertise to develop the most optimal solution for the client's organization. Guide or contribute to RFP/RFI responses.
Resolving routine to moderately complex problems and issues in solution architectures; assessing potential risks and determining solutions to these risks.
Collaborating with other team members, technology experts, and business stakeholders to provide functional support to clients on solution architecture to ensure solutions align with Reference Architectures and cross-cutting technology and security standards and policies.
Manage projects, acting as a technical advisor to clients.
Provide thought leadership in emerging technologies to the Solutions Architecture team.
Support the development of cross-functional business processes; identify alternative solutions, assess feasibility, and recommend new approaches via technology enablement.
Exhibit an outlook to bring continuous improvement, innovation, and the capability to learn new areas (technology, business domain, project management process) and drive similar efforts of team members.
Undertake primary ownership in driving self and team effort across all phases of a project lifecycle.
Education Qualification, Experience and Expertise
Bachelor's/Master's degree in engineering.
At least 14-16 years of IT experience with extensive experience in Abinitio (GDE, Control Center, Express>IT, Mhub, Conduct>IT, Testing Framework, etc).
Good understanding of ETL frameworks; knowledge in SQL, Unix, Jenkins, Data Engineering processes, and other related Data Tools.
Must have Banking Domain experience.
Extensive experience in data warehousing and expertise in various Ab Initio tools such as GDE, Express>IT, MHub, EME.
Understand the problem statement, client requirements, and design and build complex solutions using programming languages and ETL platforms.
Experience working in a Waterfall and Agile environment.
Ability to lead solution design sessions, document system/technical requirements, and experience in leading teams and management.
Advanced SQL skills; should be able to understand complex queries.
Exposure to Cloud Platforms will be a plus - AWS, Azure, GCP.
Recommended experience with Kafka.
