Solutions Architect

Lime Recruitment is currently working with a large Queensland government department to recruit a Solutions Architect contract to 30/06/2025 plus 12 month extension based in the Brisbane CBD and working from home.We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect who will play a leading role in this newly formed project.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real-time and batch data projects as well as IP Networks, SCADA, on-prem and cloud-based ICT and engineering systems designs and related domains.In this role you will:Support the definition of comprehensive Project Scope and aligning to business objectivesLead technical discussions and guidance for project directionSupport and Validate Technical Requirements aligning with business objectivesDevelop High-Level and Detailed Architectural Diagrams, design documents, blueprints, Technical Specifications, Implementation Plans, System Integration Plans & Technical Change DocumentationProduction of options and SWOT analysis against component and/or system level designLead Feasibility Testing of current systems, services, infrastructure, proposed solutions, and test plans to suitReview existing infrastructure and propose enhancements, changes and/or additions to support the new platform's integrationConstruct a robust, scalable, and secure solution that can handle data collection from a diverse range of field devices such as SCADA, controllers, sensors, signals, and other data interfacesYou will have:Extensive professional experience as a Solutions Architect (Preferably within transportation, data-centric projects, or SCADA domains)Strong familiarity with products in Cloud (AWS, Azure), IP Networks, Realtime and Batch Data platforms (e.g.
Kafka and RabbitMQ)Working knowledge of OT / IT Networks, SCADA, IoT and real-time safety related systemsUnderstanding of the feasibility Testing Process, SAT and UATUnderstanding of Integration techniques, Interfaces and DevOps ConceptsAbility to present technical solutions that are fit-for-purpose and ensure a value for moneyAbility to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language for non-technical stakeholdersQueensland based candidates only.#J-18808-Ljbffr
