Senior Solution Designer - $170k + super Principal Solution Designer - $180k - $210k + super DOE About the Role: The Senior Solution Designer will play a crucial role in delivering innovative technology solutions for customer servicing and originations within the Consumer Banking IT sector.
The focus is on enhancing user experience through applications that leverage browser capabilities across multiple platforms and brands.
The primary technologies used include Java Script and Java, utilizing REST and API services to integrate with enterprise services, databases, and host systems.
Our software development practices are aligned with agile methodologies, with resources sourced from both onshore and offshore vendors.
Other organisations may call this position a Technical Lead.
Key Responsibilities: Define and design high-level technical solutions during the implementation phase to ensure reliable, stable applications that meet business needs.
Oversee the consistent application of tools, standards, and processes to develop high-quality applications with maintainable code that supports risk and compliance management.
Leverage systems expertise to inform architecture and solution design for optimal business outcomes.
Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and project managers to deliver accurate cost estimates for project phases.
Provide expert guidance on application asset lifecycle management, incident recovery, problem resolution, and service continuity.
Diagnose and resolve complex service issues throughout the application development lifecycle.
Monitor application assets and drive process efficiencies across the enterprise.
Validate proposed changes to business services to ensure ongoing stability.
Adhere to regulatory obligations and maintain quality standards in all processes.
Support senior stakeholders by providing high-level technical expertise and facilitating strong relationships across business and technology teams.
Recommend development techniques and strategies to meet business and technology requirements.
Stay informed on business developments to drive technology solutions that benefit customers and stakeholders.
Qualifications: Extensive experience in a technical IT role within the industry.
Background in Financial Crime, Risk, and Regulatory projects.
Expertise in systems development, support, and maintenance, with knowledge of systems integration.
Advanced system analysis skills.
Proven success in at least one technical specialization.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
Familiarity with financial services operating environments, applications, and products is desirable.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
