This role involves working collaboratively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders with a focus on the customer/ end user's vision and a holistic understanding of how to deliver business outcomes.The Cyber Security Program is a multi-year program to implement the Victorian Protective Data Security Standards and supports the remediation of cyber security risks in the department. The Solution Architect is responsible for the creation of technical solutions and providing leadership and support to the project team and Cyber Security Program within Information Services Division. The Solution Architect will provide recommendations capabilities and solution sets based on research of the current environment and knowledge of data management, security and information systems. The incumbent will work closely with business stakeholders and subject matter experts helping them resolve issues and overcome challenges as they develop cost effective, fit for purpose solutions.Specialist/Technical Expertise/QualificationsTertiary qualification in IT, computer science and specialist certification such as TOGAF (highly desirable).Significant relevant work experience in complex multi-vendor environments (mandatory).Strong technical knowledge and broad experience in one or more areas of solution architecture including application, integration, data infrastructure as well as cloud hosting platforms and security.Strong experience in effectively engaging stakeholders and operating flexibly in a complex and demanding environment with a high degree of accountability will be highly regarded.Experience in cyber security architecture is preferred.Experience with architectural assurance and development of business and service transformation blueprints.Proven ability to effectively engage stakeholders and operate flexibly in a complex and demanding environment with a high degree of accountability.This is a fixed term position available for a period of 2 years.
