Robert Walters are delighted to present a 12 month contract opportunity for a highly experienced Solution Architect. You will need a proven record of delivering multiple data-focused solutions to be successful with your application.
Required Qualifications and Experience: The candidate should have a minimum of 8 years of experience in producing Solution Architecture designs for medium and large-sized business applications within Government. The ideal candidate should be able to model high-level business scenarios with technology components and users, identifying key data fields and entities when integrations are required. Experience with platform replacement of one or more core business or business supporting applications is also necessary. The Solution Architect should have experience developing draft quality architecture documents in a workshop-style session, producing system context or sequences in a format that technical and non-technical attendees can understand. Familiarity with REST and Event APIs and Design by contract principles, UML notation, Archimate or similar, and using lean tooling such as PlantUML, Archi, draw.io, Confluence, and JIRA is important. The Solution Architect should have experience working with technology and business stakeholders and supporting their respective standards, patterns, and strategies. The role requires reviewing architecture designs in a peer or governance format and providing feedback based on quality, risks, and alternative options. The ideal candidate should have experience with an application landscape of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, Vendor Hosted, On Prem, and partner applications and infrastructure. Nice-to-Have Technical Skills and Experience: Experience with Service Layer architecture or reusable integration API development. Experience with Managed Service Partners. Knowledge of Azure Infrastructure, Compute, or PaaS. Experience with Integration, MS365, App Dev, AD/AAD, IDAM, Windows, and Security would be helpful.
