Temporary opportunity up to 2 years (35 hours per week) Location: Parramatta with Flexible working arrangement  Legal Officer IV, Base Salary from ($134,483 - $137,071) plus superannuation and annual leave loading Your role Want to make a change for the better? OGIP is a high functioning group of people who are responsible for ensuring DCJ's compliance with the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA Act), the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (PPIP Act), as well as complying with subpoenas and statutory orders relating to the provision of information.

What you'll do Provide high level legal and/or litigation services and advice to clients, senior management and staff in accordance with legislation, policy, guidelines and practice standards. Supervise and provide guidance to staff to ensure delivery of quality professional legal services. Interpret, analyse, research and prepare more complex legal documents including legal records, correspondence, legislation, policies, reports, submissions and briefing notes. Undertake more complex, contentious, or sensitive PPIP or GIPA matters within established standards, procedures, legislation, policies and delegations. What we're looking for Extensive knowledge and experience in the relevant area/s of law. Roles also require the following checks/clearances:
Fingerprint checks are required to be conducted at a Police Station and obtained prior to commencing with DCJ. National Criminal History Record Check in accordance with the Disability Inclusion Act 2014.
