We were recently recognised by Australasian Lawyer as being one of Australia's fastest growing law firms for 2023.We offer mentoring and structured progression which presents multiple opportunities for a highly motivated solicitor to achieve their professional goals.The RoleDue to the continuous growth of our firm, we are seeking a solicitor with 1-2 years' post-qualification commercial recoveries/debt collection experience to join our Sydney team.This role will involve day-to-day carriage and management of a variety of commercial dispute matters working with high quality large corporate clients.Responsibilities will include:Taking instructions from clients and communicating effectivelyDrafting correspondence to clients and the opposing sideAdvising clients in relation to their legal rights, obligations, strategies and prospectsUndertaking legal researchFacilitation of settlement negotiationsPreparation and appearance at court for directions, including preparation of evidence for final hearingsAdhering to court directed timetablesAssistance with the development of junior employeesThe majority of files will be commercial recovery and litigation matters in the Local and District Courts, with additional exposure to insolvency matters, complex commercial matters and property transactions.What we are looking forThe ideal candidate will be a bright, motivated solicitor with 1-2 years' post qualification experience in commercial litigation with a solid knowledge of debt collection procedures.The successful candidate must have the following attributes:A client-focused approachA commitment to high work standardsOutstanding attention to detailExceptional organisational skillsExcellent grammar and clear writing skillsProfessionalismIf you meet the requirements and want to progress your career, please submit your resume and cover letter through Seek.
