About the Role This fantastic opportunity is for an intelligent and highly motivated Solicitor to join our growing Professional Risks team in Sydney.  This is a unique role which offers exposure to complex financial lines and professional indemnity matters and a diverse range of disputes; including professional negligence, misleading or deceptive conduct, minority shareholder oppression, wrongful dismissal, and advising on insurance coverage issues. This role includes the handling of professional indemnity claims on behalf of insurance brokers, with underlying disputes springing from claims on financial lines, public liability, and ISR policies (among others) and often involving coverage issues such as aggregation, non-disclosure and notification. This role will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to be heavily involved in all aspects of matters allowing you to make a significant contribution to their outcome. You will work as part of a close-knit team while gaining exposure to large scale, high value, and/or multi-party disputes, working directly with one of our high performing Principals. About you To be considered for this opportunity, you will need: To be an experienced lawyer with 1 - 3 years post admission experience where you have ideally had exposure to some or all of the types of matters detailed above. Experience in general insurance litigation, financial lines, professional indemnity and/or directors and officers (D&O) is preferred but not essential. Experience working with, and analysing, high volume data sets and evidence. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Firmly established time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities effectively. Teamwork and collaboration skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to work independently.
