We can help people with most areas criminal law, family law and every day civil law legal issues.
We give legal advice, help at court and do family dispute resolution.
We can do this over the telephone or at one of our 28 offices.
About the role Step into a dynamic leadership role where you'll oversee the daily operations of our Orange Office, ensuring the optimal use of resources and the delivery of highly bespoke services that truly make a difference for our clients and community.
You will manage and guide the team to deliver high-quality legal services, addressing the needs of our clients with efficiency and effectiveness.
In this role, you will provide expert legal advice and representation, especially when working on complex cases, aligning with Legal Aid NSW policies and guidelines.
Your work will be pivotal in fulfilling our mission to help clients resolve their legal issues.
Additionally, you will supervise and mentor junior legal staff as well as non-legal staff, fostering their growth and ensuring they contribute to our shared goals.
About you You will be a highly experienced criminal, civil or family lawyer with a commitment to delivering high quality, culturally appropriate legal services to legally aided clients.
You will have managed teams of lawyers and non-legal staff.
You will be a compassionate and principled person who can lead by example in growing cultural safety practices in the office for both staff and clients.
You will be passionate about serving the Orange community and surrounds.
The essential requirements for this role You must:
be admitted or be eligible for admission as a legal practitioner in NSWbe able to provide a current NSW Practising Certificate before you start work with usbe willing to do a Criminal Record Check and Working with Children Checkhold Australian or NZ citizenship, Australian Permanent Residency (for ongoing vacancies) or a valid visa to work in Australia (for temporary vacancies)How to apply You MUST submit your application online through iworkfor.nsw.gov.au.
