Solicitor - Legal Officer Grade I-III - Criminal Law Division – Dubbo - Ongoing, Temporary & Talent PoolAbout usLegal Aid NSW helps people with their legal problems. We can assist with most areas of criminal law, family law, and everyday civil law issues. We provide legal advice, help at court, and offer family dispute resolution services, either over the telephone or at one of our 28 offices.About the roleThe successful candidate will provide criminal law advice and representation to clients of Legal Aid NSW, adhering to its policies and guidelines. This role supports the mission of delivering high-quality legal services and assisting clients in resolving their legal problems.You will be passionate about providing legal services to disadvantaged people in regional, rural, and criminal justice system contexts.Essential RequirementsYou must:be admitted or be eligible for admission as a legal practitioner in NSWbe able to provide a current NSW Practising Certificate before you startbe willing to undertake a Criminal Record Check and Working with Children Checkhold Australian or NZ citizenship, Australian Permanent Residency (for ongoing vacancies), or a valid visa to work in Australia (for temporary vacancies)hold a current driver's licencebe able to travel for work away from homeHow to applyYou MUST submit your application online through iworkfor.nsw.gov.au.
