In this dynamic role, you will act as a key technical liaison between our customers and internal teams during the pre-sales phase, ensuring the seamless delivery of tailored energy solutions.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Data and Site Visits:Serve as the primary technical contact for customers during pre-sales, addressing all technical inquiries.Gather and assess site information for desktop feasibility studies on BESS and Solar projects.Collaborate with customers to define system specifications and functional requirements.Analyze existing site electrical schematics to identify optimal connection points for on-site BESS and Solar systems.Conduct site inspections with sales leads to evaluate feasibility, assess constraints, and address customer/stakeholder queries.Diagnose technical issues and design cost-effective solutions in collaboration with subject matter experts.Prepare detailed inspection reports and briefing notes for internal and external use.Value-Engineered Solutions:Present proposed solar/BESS layout drawings and system sizing to the Engineering Team for concept design development.Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure alignment with project requirements.Incorporate customer feedback into updated proposal designs.Work with the Engineering and Projects Teams to develop cost-effective solutions and price stacks.Utilize system modeling tools for energy output calculations and technical analysis.Proposal Creation:Validate Solar and BESS concept designs for inclusion in sales proposals.Collaborate with Engineering and Project Teams to refine designs and develop cost estimates.Maintain consistent communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.Support the sales lead in transitioning contracted opportunities to internal teams.Key RelationshipsBuild and maintain relationships with customers, regulators, and industry stakeholders.Work closely with internal teams, including Sales, Engineering, and Projects, to deliver seamless solutions.ChallengesManaging competing priorities and tight timelines.Influencing without direct authority.Navigating evolving legislation and industry dynamics.Skills & ExperienceIndustry Experience: Background in construction, solution design, engineering, or asset management within the energy efficiency, renewables, or storage sectors.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate across teams and with customers.Proficiency in system modeling and technical analysis tools.Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and industry trends.Join one of Australia's largest dedicated suppliers of business electricity as a Technical Solutions Consultant - Solar and BESS.
