About the role: We're in search of a Software Engineer - Oracle Fusion, to excel in expert coding and configuration within the tolling domain, spanning Customer and Technology.
You will play a pivotal part in shaping our Core Tolling, Billing, and Collections technology stack, by analysing the current state and implementing cutting-edge practices.
This role includes designing features, conducting root cause analysis, and driving performance improvements on our platform, contributing to cost and effort reduction.

Day-to-day, you will: Contribute insights during the solution design phase of projects/initiatives in alignment with the overarching technical direction of the platform.
Maintain and operationalise engineering code management within the tolling platform and application domain.
Conform to source code branching and merging strategies for Java application platform.
Provide input into other Core Tolling, Billing and Collections teams as they seek to implement user stories.
Maintain awareness of industry trends for the relevant technology stack.
Work with the Engineering Manager/Lead Engineer; to develop/input to: mature platform engineering metrics; standards; processes and procedures.
This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including: Demonstrated expertise in designing and building within the Java/J2EE framework, Oracle Fusion Middleware, Oracle SOA Suite, and Oracle Weblogic Server, along with proficiency in Oracle Database 11g/12c.
Strong familiarity with key development tools such as Jenkins, GitHub/Perforce, Eclipse, Artifactory, and Ant & Gradle.
Expertise in applying Agile principles, along with substantial experience in CI/CD and DevSecOps methodologies.
Excellent interpersonal skills (written and verbal) with the ability to deal effectively with both internal and external personnel at all levels.
Reliable, insights-driven, self-motivated, and able to handle the challenges of a varied role in a dynamic organisation.
Showcase robust troubleshooting skills and creative problem-solving ability.
Proficiency in developing code tailored for large-scale production environments.
Expertise in integrating software for complex projects.
Demonstrated hands-on familiarity with Cloud security practices, control implementation, and compliance is preferred.
Proven experience in designing, building, and operationalising applications and their respective integration platforms is highly valued.
Tertiary qualifications in systems engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline are a plus.
