This is how You Make a Difference As a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer you will be part of our small, talented team in Sydney that is dedicated to the ongoing development of hardware and software used extensively throughout the transport industry. You will support this mission with the following tasks:
Design, develop and maintain software and systems in accordance with the quality system Design, develop and maintain Linux based distributions used in supplied devices Software development in accordance with predefined specifications Analysis of customer requirements Participation in development through all stages of SDLC Post-implementation support Support during pre-sales in creating system design and estimating time/effort You are Passionate about learning and growing Communicative and strongly team orientated Equipped with strong analytical abilities Motivated and ambitious to work on your own initiative Organized and able to manage and document your tasks and time In possession of an Australian citizenship, permanent residency or a temporary work visa What you Bring to the Table You have completed a tertiary degree, preferably in computer science or electrical/electronic engineering.
Advanced proficiency in C/C++ programming, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions Strong understanding of Linux and Operating System concepts Basic knowledge of electronic hardware concepts Experience in Linux user space programming and shell scripting Demonstrated expertise in TCP/IP network programming Solid background in multi-threading programming Excellent troubleshooting skills with a methodical approach to problem-solving Strong communication and documentation skills Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and adhere to project schedules Familiarity with development processes, cybersecurity principles, and quality standards Cross platform user space network application development in Linux and Windows Understanding of and experience with communication protocols and methods such as REST, GraphQL, Message Queues and SOAP Understanding of and experience with VoIP systems and associated control and streaming protocols Knowledge of encryption, authentication and authorisation methods Experience in device driver development for embedded devices What We Offer r2p offers great job opportunities in various fields and job profiles and offers a competitive salary package that commensurate with your skills and experience level.
