About the role: Transmax has grown significantly over the last 18 months, and we are not slowing down!

We're in the next exciting stage of our growth phase which is why we are now recruiting for Software Developer – Level 2.

The role of Software Developer – Level 2 will see you contribute to software development, software maintenance and testing activities and contributing to software design and system design tasks.

This role is an intermediate level; meaning this position takes on some accountability and decision making in day-to-day activities, however, will escalate more complex issues through to a senior level within the organisation, as required.
This level acts as first and mid-tier support for project related queries and issues.

Your day-to-day will include: Contribute to software development, software maintenance and testing activities. Contribute to software design and/or system design tasks, following guidance from senior members of the software group. Production of all necessary design and supporting technical documentation.
Actively contribute to delivering the commitment of the SCRUM team for each sprint. Provide second-line support to the Product Integration and Technical Support teams. Comply with Transmax's business systems, policies, procedures and standards related to software engineering and business management.
About You:

Coming from a team-focussed, outcome driven software-as-a-service environment you will be preferably tertiary-level qualified in Software Engineering, Information Technology or Computer Science; however, your professional experience is what is most important and how your skills can complement our team!

You will be: 2+ years' experienced working in a software development environment.
Experienced with C++. Experienced with C#, .Net, and Microsoft Visual Studio. Experienced with the Git version control system. Experience with unit testing frameworks such as NUnit. Experienced with relational database design and development. Knowledgeable across of several software development life-cycle models.  
Ideally you will have: Experience with Microsoft SQL Server. Experience with NoSQL databases such as Elasticsearch. Experience with Atlassian Jira. Intelligent Traffic System (ITS) experience (or other integrated engineering control systems) and familiarity with ITS field devices and equipment. Experience in working with software development groups making use of agile software development methodologies What does Transmax offer?
