About the role An opportunity exists for a social worker in the Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service, Goulburn Valley (VPRS-GV).
VPRS-GV is a specialist assessment and treatment service for children and adolescents who, as a result of injury, medical/surgical intervention or functional impairment, will benefit from a program of developmentally appropriate, time-limited, goal-focused, multidisciplinary rehabilitation.
The social worker will work as part of the interdisciplinary team, providing high quality social work services to clients of VPRS-GV.
Applicants should have relevant paediatric experience, a strong understanding of social work practice in sub-acute and community settings, and be able to demonstrate the ability to provide a family centered service within a rural health setting.
VPRS GV has strong links with the GVH social work team and liaison is encouraged and supported.
This is a part time, 0.3 EFT permanent position suitable for an established Grade 2 clinician.

Applicants must hold an AASW accredited Bachelor of Social Work or Master of Social Work (qualifying) and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
A current Victorian Driver's license, satisfactory National Criminal History Record Check & Working with Children Check are required prior to commencing employment.
The successful applicant will have well-developed time management and problem-solving skills, the ability to prioritise tasks and work under minimal supervision.
Applicants should also possess excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively within a team environment.
A sound knowledge of computer based software applications including Word/Excel/database management systems is also required.
