Work in Tasmanian Government schools, Child and Family Centres (CFCs) and community locations to provide support to children and families affected by family violence.
Contribute to capacity building in CFCs, schools and communities to improve understanding of the impact of family violence and trauma on learning and well-being.
This is a Department built entirely for children and young people and their communities.
Our ultimate goal is to work together to ensure that every child and young person in Tasmania is known, safe, well and learning.
The child is at the centre of everything we do and the way we do it.
Duties Work in Tasmanian Government schools, Child and Family Centres (CFCs) and community locations to provide support to children and families affected by family violence.
Contribute to capacity building in CFCs, schools and communities to improve understanding of the impact of family violence and trauma on learning and well-being.
Period of Appointment Applicants should be aware that for twelve (12) months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill any subsequent full-time or part-time vacancies in accordance with Employment Direction 1. Hours per fortnight 76 hours per fortnight
The Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Act 2013 requires persons undertaking work in a regulated activity to be registered.
A regulated activity is a child related service or activity defined in the Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Regulations 2014.
This registration must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of this may be checked at any time during employment.
Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status - Employment).Tertiary qualification/program of study accredited by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and is a full member of AASW or is eligible for membership with the AASW.A current driver's licence.Statement of Duties and a reference guide to assist with applying online can be found here: Electronic submission of application is preferred, please click the blue 'Apply Now' button.
