Position Overview: The position involves management of patients in General Gastroenterology, IBD, chronic liver disease, and both diagnostic and therapeutic Endoscopy.
Experience in capsule endoscopy would be highly regarded.

The successful candidate will provide specialist diagnosis, treatment and care for public patients.
They will provide a consultative service in Gastroenterology to other disciplines and to both hospitals within the Department of Health – North West.
Minimum Requirements: Please note only Fellows of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) candidates can be considered for this position. Who are we? Servicing a population of approximately 116,000, the Department of Health – North West (DoH), has major sites located approximately 50km apart.
The medical services across the North West region of Tasmania are based primarily at the North West Regional Hospital (NWRH) in Burnie and at the Mersey Community Hospital (MCH) in Latrobe, close to Devonport.
Gastroenterologists provide gastroenterology and Hepatology services across both sites with the base being MCH.
Salary: Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1- Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 3 $210,000 - $310,349 per annum, pro rata + 11.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging.
Salary range is in accordance with Medical Practitioners Agreement 2022.What Can We Offer?
