About the department: The Social Work Department provides services on all three campuses of Austin Health across all Clinical Service Units (CSU). The department provides care across the continuum from the Emergency Department through bed-based services and ongoing ambulatory care.
We are committed to providing a comprehensive, skilful, and innovative service for our patients. In realising this goal, the Social Work Department will lead in and excel in research, teaching and the use of person-centred evidence-based practice.
About the role: As a Grade 3 Social Worker you will be responsible for providing operational leadership and clinical support as well as direct clinical social work services to patients across one or more of our Austin Health sites. A regular day will see you work clinically with patients, attend family meetings and non-clinical meetings, and undertake other duties that support the social work department and its operations, including actively contributing to quality activities.
