About the Role: As a Grade 2 Social Worker Leave Cover role, you will be responsible for providing clinical social work services to patients across one or more of our Austin Health sites. A regular day will see you work clinically with patients, attend family meetings, clinical and non-clinical meetings, and undertake other duties that support the social work department and its operations. This role will require you to work across a range of clinical areas and campuses to support Social Work staff who are on leave.
Key Responsibilities: Apply your Social Work knowledge and skills to assess, treat, support, and plan the discharge of patients.Provide counselling to patients and families.Participate in quality improvement, service improvement, and/or research.You Must Have: A degree in Social Work and be eligible for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).Experience working in a hospital or health-related setting.The ability to work and contribute to team culture and work within a multidisciplinary environment.Working at Austin Health means enjoying a strong sense of purpose, engaging in meaningful work every day.
