About the role: As a Grade 2 Social Worker you will be responsible for providing clinical social work services to inpatients across one or more of our Austin Health sites. A regular day will see you work clinically with patients, attend family meetings and non-clinical meetings, and undertake other duties that support the social work department and its operations.
Key responsibilities will see you: Apply your Social Work knowledge and skills to assess, treat and plan the discharge of patients.Provide counselling to patients and families.Participate in quality improvement, service improvement and/or research.You must have: Worked in a hospital or health related setting.The ability to work and contribute to team culture and work within a multidisciplinary environment.Working at Austin Health means enjoying a strong sense of purpose, engaging in meaningful work every day.
