(pro rata) + superannuation and Salary Sacrifice Benefits Temporary from 13/1/2025 up to 11/7/2025 and part-time working 22.50 hours per week                         About the role Join our compassionate inter-disciplinary palliative care team as a Social Worker, where your expertise will play a vital role in supporting patients with complex psychosocial needs and their families during challenging times.
In this position, you will provide counselling and bereavement support, ensuring that each patient receives holistic care tailored to their unique circumstances.
Your contributions will extend beyond direct support, as you help plan, implement, evaluate, and review a comprehensive range of services designed to meet the psychosocial needs of our community.
In addition to your direct patient work, you'll respond to organisational requests for specialist palliative care psychosocial advice and provide professional consultancy to management and staff.

About You: Qualifications: You hold an appropriate degree or equivalent qualification, making you eligible for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
Skills & Abilities: You are a highly effective communicator (verbal and written), adaptable to change, skilled in counselling and psycho-social assessments, and capable of working in interdisciplinary settings.
Experience: You bring significant experience in health settings, including providing counselling, making complex clinical decisions, and collaborating with diverse professionals and communities.
Knowledge: You possess a deep understanding of social work theories, psycho-social intervention strategies, grief theory, and culturally sensitive practices, including the health needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
