plus Superannuation and Salary Sacrifice benefitsTemporary Full-Time, up to 26 December 2025About the Role:The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking a highly motivated Exercise Physiologist to join our Aged Care, Rehabilitation and Palliative Care Division.Exercise Physiology services are offered across a variety of inpatient, home-based and community settings within the Rehabilitation and Geriatric clinical services based at Modbury with some outreach community work.
In this role you will have the opportunity to rotate through a number of clinical services:Geriatrics: Provision of exercise physiology assessment and treatment for older adults while liaising with their families and carers.
This may involve assessment and individualised intervention for deconditioning, frailty, cardiac and orthopaedic rehabilitation.
Areas of work include the inpatient Geriatric Rehabilitation ward.Rehabilitation: Provision of exercise physiology assessment and treatment for adults participating in rehabilitation.
This may involve assessment and individualised intervention for adults with a range of diagnoses including stroke, progressive neurological conditions, brain injury and deconditioning.
Areas within rehabilitation include the inpatient rehabilitation wards, the Day Rehabilitation Service (6 week rehabilitation program in an outpatient setting) and the Rehabilitation in the Home program.As an Exercise Physiologist, you will play a pivotal role in promoting and facilitating physical activity, exercise and healthy lifestyle choices for our patients.
Your expertise will be invaluable in designing and implementing tailored exercise programs to support recovery, enhance functional capacity and improve overall well-being.Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Your responsibilities will include conducting physical assessments, developing personalised exercise prescriptions and providing education and guidance to patients and their families.Minimum Requirements:To be eligible for this position, you must hold an appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification, usually in human movements, inclusive of the exercise physiology elective and eligible for accreditation from Exercise Sports Science Australia (ESSA).About You:Are you a dedicated, compassionate and enthusiastic Exercise Physiologist looking for an opportunity to join a dynamic, growing healthcare network where you will be part of a supportive team delivering high quality care to the community?
