Rockhampton Hospital is the largest hospital in Central Queensland and the main referral hub for the region.
A number of exciting initiatives are underway including the construction of a new multi-level car park.
Once complete, it will provide 597 parking spaces for staff, patients, and visitors to the hospital.
About the role:To contribute to patient care by undertaking support tasks delegated under the supervision of a Social Worker.
The role supports Social Workers in their day-to-day clinical and operational duties, to optimise patient outcomes.
Under the direction of Social Workers perform tasks including (but not limited to):
Assist patients and their families with the completion of forms and paperwork e.g.
paperwork related to applications for residential aged care.Assist patients and their families access hospital services, e.g.
organisation of accommodation and travel.Communication and liaison between Social Workers, Patients, Families, and Carers.Liaison with external providers including Aged Care Facilities and services, Community organisations, and government services.About you:Non-mandatory qualifications/requirements: While not mandatory, possession of or in the process of obtaining the following is desirable:
Certificate III in Health Services Assisting, orCertificate III or IV in Allied Health Assisting, orCertificate III in Health Administration, orCertificate III in Community Services Work, Aged Care, Disabilities, or similar.What we offer:Salary information: Total remuneration value of up to $82,130 p.a.
