The ACVVS program is a great way for you to make a meaningful difference to the life of an older person, right here in South East Sydney.
Spend time with an elderly Man living in care, who enjoys Chinese TV shows, exercises, gardening and would like to meet someone who speaks Mandarin to sit and chat with. Your impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements 18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare •
We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a 30 minutes to one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday. Visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
