The Social Media Coordinator's purpose is to develop and execute dynamic social media strategies that enhance brand visibility, engage target audiences, and drive meaningful interactions across various digital platforms, while collaborating with internal teams to ensure cohesive and impactful messaging.
Specifically, this role will build and manage content for Home Hardware and assist in the Mitre 10 social media page.
It will also help execute sponsorship and social media influencer partnerships as well as assist in any brand campaigns.

Develop and Implement Social Media Strategies: Create and execute comprehensive social media plans to enhance brand visibility, engagement, and audience growth across various platforms.Content Creation and Management: Generate, curate, and schedule engaging content, including text, images, and videos, tailored to different social media channels and target audiences.Monitor and Analyse Performance: Track key performance metrics and analyse data to measure the effectiveness of social media campaigns and strategies, adjusting tactics as needed to optimize results.Engage with Audience: Foster positive interactions with followers by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner, and manage online community engagement.Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with marketing, design, and content teams to ensure cohesive messaging and alignment with overall brand goals and campaigns.Stay Current with Trends: Keep up-to-date with social media trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure the brand remains innovative and competitive.Manage Social Media Tools: Utilize and manage social media management and analytics tools to streamline processes and enhance campaign effectiveness.Support Brand Initiatives: Assist in the execution of promotional campaigns, product launches, sponsorships and influencer partnerships.Ensure Brand Consistency: Maintain a consistent brand voice and message across all social media platforms while adhering to the company's guidelines and standards.You're Likely a Match If you have Live and breathe social media marketing.
You follow brands that you love, have opinions on how we can improve and can spot a Tik Tok trend a mile off.Understanding of retail marketing & communications including digital and social.Have a passion for writing social media content.You love influencer marketing and have ideas on people we can work with and reasons why they would be the perfect fit for our brands.You are highly organised and detail-oriented.You have a passion for good marketing ideas and you're not afraid to share them.Basic understanding of shopper insights.Basic understanding of marketing legislation.Understanding of how agencies work.Optimistic and enthusiastic mindset and an ability to communicate a vision with passion for customer-led experiences online.Self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team.Life at Metcash
