Period of employment / Hours: Fixed term full-time day work (part-time hours may be considered by negotiation) commencing ASAP until 30 June 2026. Location: Homes Tasmania - Community Infrastructure - Property Maintenance – South
Duties: Primary Purpose / Focus: As a member of the Community Infrastructure Unit's Property Maintenance team, contribute to the growth and sustainability of Tasmania's social and affordable housing system by assisting in the maintenance of the Director's social and affordable housing assets through the coordination of energy efficiency program of works and reporting outputs in line with the requirements of the Governments stimulus funding expenditure. This includes:
Coordinate the provision of energy efficiency program of works engaging relevant staff as appropriate. Liaise with Community Housing Providers, contractors, tenants and other key stakeholders as appropriate to identify, manage and report on assets suitable for energy efficiency upgrades; and oversee the program of works to ensure consistent and quality outputs that align with the strategic management objectives for the social housing portfolio. Liaise with relevant internal and external stakeholders, including staff from Homes Tasmania business units, Community Housing Providers, and representatives of the Australian Government in relation to contracted services and project objectives. Report on progress of maintenance programs, including collating program updates from other housing providers, financial expenditure and tracking against agreed targets. Provide a link to National organisations or other agencies on matters relating to energy efficiency improvements and programs. Skills and experience: Selection criteria includes: Demonstrated knowledge of project management within the Tasmanian Government framework and experience in the management of contract performance, management and compliance principles and practices. Strong liaison and consultation skills with the ability to research, present and evaluate reports and submissions and negotiate recommendations.
