Position Title: Social & Emotional Wellbeing Manager
Department: Community Services
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer
Direct Reports: ISEP Coordinator; Tenancy Support Supervisor; FDRP Interns; Cultural Connector; SEWB Officer; Health Promotion Officer
Key Internal Working Relationships: Chief Executive Officer, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Executive Team, FDRP's, Other Corporation Employees
Key External Working Relationships: Great Southern community, Government agencies, community service providers, industry stakeholders, training institutions
Location: Albany - Travel will be required throughout the region of Southern Aboriginal Corporation
Employment Terms: Fixed term, Senior Management position. This position is supported by grant funding, and as such, it is contingent upon the grant's continuation. Should the grant funding be reduced or terminated, the position may be subject to change, reduction in hours, or termination.
Hours of Work: 36.5 hours per week.
Duration of contract: Two years from date of employment with an option to renew subject to agreement in writing by both the Employer and the Employee.
Wages: In line with Level 7 of the Social, Community, Home Care & Disability Services Industry Award 2010, the Pay point will be negotiated with the option of salary sacrifice (currently to the value of $18,550/annum). Superannuation guarantee paid as legislated (currently 11.5%).
Southern Aboriginal Corporation is able to assist toward the cost of relocating the right person for this role. In addition, the role includes the provision of a laptop, mobile phone and work-related use of a corporation vehicle.

About the Role You will be responsible for managing and supporting the implementation of funded projects. Projects may change depending on the services secured through funding. Current projects include:
First Nations Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) ServiceSocial & Emotional Wellbeing – Suicide PreventionHealth Promotions – Gnumaries HurtIndigenous Skills and Employment Program (ISEP)Tenancy Support ServiceAbout You You are a motivated and committed person that has good experience in the management of social services with:
Ability to effectively manage projectsAbility to effectively manage service deliveryAbility to manage tasks associated with staff training requirementsCreativity and innovation in the position to drive continuous improvementAbility to achieve work objectives in prescribed timeframesAbility to be flexible in work methods and adapt to a changing environmentStrong ability to work and communicate with a wide variety of people and audiences including exceptional written and verbal communication skillsStrong ability to build and maintain effective relationshipsEssentially you will have: Relevant qualifications in Business Administration, Management, Social Work, Community Welfare or similar disciplinePrevious experience in coordinating and implementing similar service-based initiativesDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively, respectfully and sensitively with Aboriginal peopleDemonstrated experience in effective community consultation / engagement with Aboriginal people, youth, children, community groups and organisationsDemonstrated experience in working in partnership with relevant organisations / other stakeholdersStrong conflict resolution skillsHigh level computer skills to facilitate:CommunicationOnline Data Collection and recordingSupporting Interns to study onlineCurrent WA 'C' class driver's licenceCurrent First Aid certificate or a willingness to obtain oneIt is desirable for you to hold: Accreditation as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (very highly regarded)An understanding of culturally informed approaches relating to Noongar people of the Great Southern area and their cultureAn understanding of approaches aligning to holistic healingMandatory You must be prepared to undergo:
