Job Title : (Snr.) Business Development Manager Reports to : Sr.
Director of Business Development Division: e-Storage Location: Sydney or Melbourne, Australia Position Summary: The (Snr.) Business Development Manager is responsible for specifying, planning, and growth of new products and solutions in the Energy Storage segment.
This role is key to formulating innovative product solutions and will build productive and sustainable relationships with external and internal business partners to ensure ongoing business expansion.
Responsibilities: Collect and understand customer needs, market trends, and input from organizational leadership to align product strategy in the Energy Storage market segment.
Identify opportunities, prepare proposals for RFPs, budgeting and pricing, negotiate contract terms, and conduct post-bid analysis.
Develop and engage early adopter customers in testing and launching new Energy Storage products and solutions.
Conduct feasibility studies/business plans for product improvement, customization, and new product development.
Assess operational issues regarding competitiveness and stay current with trends, innovations, and pricing.
Align with internal development and delivery teams or external suppliers to ensure consistency in product and schedule expectations.
Work with field marketing and sales teams in managing the product launch process.
Requirements: Minimum 5 years' experience in Energy Storage, Wind, and Solar industry.
Proven track record of business development experience.
Confident in decision-making regarding product guidelines and completion.
Understanding of financial reports, including budgetary guidelines and product expenditures.
Entrepreneurial background in a sales capacity.
Can-do personality, competitive, and driven.
Excellent interpersonal relations and ability to work effectively in teams.
High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and reasoning.
Self-motivated and able to work independently and proactively.
Excellent organizational, strategic planning, and implementation skills.
Ability to travel as required – expected travel requirement approximately 50-60%.
