The opportunityPresently, we are in pursuit of a seasoned SMP Mechanical Engineer to join the ranks of PPM.
The ideal candidate will be grounded in a robust technical foundation in mechanical engineering, complemented by hands-on experience within the mining or heavy industrial sectors.
Your responsibilities will encompass:The design, development, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment tailor-made for mining and heavy industrial applicationsThe execution of comprehensive technical analyses, feasibility studies, and meticulous cost estimations for emerging projectsThe provision of technical mentorship to project teams, encompassing design and construction segmentsThe assurance of compliance with safety and environmental regulationsThe provision of adept troubleshooting support to operational and maintenance unitsThe meticulous execution of comprehensive inspections and audits to ensure alignment with company benchmarksSynergistic collaboration with fellow engineers and stakeholders to conjure innovative solutions for intricate technical challengesThis role will be integral to our involvement in an AUD1Bn Capital Works Program that stands out for its complexity and challenge, offering a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on a grand scale.
Ideally, we're seeking:A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent disciplineA minimum of 5 years tenure in mechanical engineering, preferably within the mining or heavy industrial sectorsProficiency in engineering design tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent platformsAn aptitude for analytical thinking and adeptness in navigating complex problem-solvingExceptional communication skills, underscored by an adeptness for seamless teamworkFamiliarity with safety and environmental regulations pertinent to the mining or heavy industrial sectorsIf this opportunity resonates with you and you are propelled by a fervent passion for engineering, we invite you to apply for this opportunity.
