The SME Underwriting Service Officer is responsible for providing administrative and underwriting support, including accurate input of business related data for insurance policies across SME business. The primary objective is to deliver professional and efficient service to achieve profitable premium growth and underwriting profitability in our core segments.
Key responsibilities
Provide administrative and policy support for policies across all lines of businessDeliver professional and efficient customer service to brokers and distribution partners, as well as internal colleaguesContribute to the alignment of risk and compliance management practices within the relevant portfolio by sitting at the first line of defenceContribute to developing a workplace learning environmentKnowledge, skills and experience
At least 2 years' experience working in an Underwriting, Contact/Processing Centre capacityProven underwriting capability within the insurance sectorAn understanding of insurance risk management including reinsuranceUp to date knowledge in most aspects of general insurance including a practical understanding of commercial insurance principles, policies, pricing, reinsurance, claims and risk managementExperience in dealing directly with brokers and clients, while simultaneously fostering effective working relationshipsVery good understanding of the Australian general insurance industry, Ansvar's core markets and how strategies work in the marketplaceHighly disciplined, with excellent planning and time-management skills and the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and pressureStrong personal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to establish rapport and negotiate with key internal and external stakeholders to achieve Company objectivesWhat we offerLearning and Development opportunitiesEmployee Referral ProgramFlu VaccinationsReward ProgramCompetitive Parental Leave ArrangementPurchase additional Annual Leave opportunityWellbeing and Birthday leave commencing in 2025Hybrid work arrangement 3 office / 2 WFH Offices are modern and fresh with coffee machines, fruit, etcPaid Volunteer day – 1 per yearCommunity Education Grant Program – Ansvar staff can participate in the review and selection of the Grant recipients each year, to determine who receives funding from Ansvar's profit poolEAP access for staff and familiesParticipation in Ansvar's short term incentive scheme – up to 15%About usBenefact Group is a unique international financial services Group made up of over 30 businesses.
