12 + 12 + 12 month contracts - NV1 clearance required Brisbane CBD, QLD or Melbourne or Canberra - Flexible WFH options - April 2025 start dates Cloud architectural support - Platform (AWS, Azure, private and hybrid) and business solution advice Our client, a large Federal Government department based in Brisbane CBD, requires four (4) experienced Cloud Architects for long 12 + 12 + 12 month contracts.
Duties Develop the target design, policies and standards, for a broad range of business use cases, ensuring consistency of design across the enterprise, and facilitating endorsement by the appropriate Design Authority. Drive cloud architecture at a strategic level across all lines of business, specifically toward self-service cloud adoption/migration. Engage with mission areas to understand their needs, developing strategic and/or tactical solutions appropriate to the enterprise vision and intended mission outcome. Architect solutions that deliver to Government security standards. Review internal and externally developed architecture and design artefacts to ensure consistency with enterprise designs, policies and standards. Advise Program Management and Design Authorities on technical risks and mitigations. Technical skills Understand & demonstrated application of current architectural frameworks, design patterns, standards & techniques. Extensive experience as a solution architect in medium-large organisations, with demonstrated coverage of a range of architecture deliverables. Extensive experience in architecting & deploying cloud-based architectures and roadmaps. Experience in system design & complex design documentation. Knowledge of Australian Government security standards. Background and technical skills in Enterprise ICT.
