Imaging facilities at our hospital in Brisbane include 64 slice Siemens CT, 1.5 Tesla Siemens Magnetron MRI, Philips Affinity Ultrasounds, and FDR D-EVO Fuji Digital X-ray.
The associate will work alongside a specialist veterinary radiologist and qualified radiographers to help coordinate all aspects of diagnostic imaging at the hospital including:
Coordinating scheduling of the hospital's imaging caseloadAssisting with acquisition and interpretation of diagnostic images – radiographs, contrast radiographs, CT and MRI scansAssisting with imaging and interpretation of radiographs and selected ultrasound proceduresManaging paperwork and data storage for all proceduresSupervising strict adherence to radiation safety standards within the practiceCandidates must be eligible for veterinary registration in QLD and have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a solid knowledge base on which to build.
Clinical experience is essential.
MANZCVS in radiology (small animal) is desirable.
The position includes 4 weeks of annual leave and 1 week of study leave.
The position will commence in early 2025.
