This is a multiple casual position with shifts available from Monday to Thursday. The Sleep Technician will be engaged in the setup, care, and performance of sleep studies in our cutting-edge sleep research facility. This includes the areas of quantitative EEG analysis, obstructive sleep apnoea and clinical trials.
Duties and responsibilities High patient care and satisfactionPatient monitoring and quality sleep data acquisition for analysis, diagnosis, and treatment of clinical sleep studiesGood clinical practice and infection control managementEffective operation and maintenance of sleep study equipmentAbout you Demonstrated ability to set up for sleep studiesDemonstrated experience in patient data acquisition and managementKnowledge of infection control practicesDemonstrated ability to follow quality protocolsCurrent CPR certificationWWCC (where paediatric care is provided)Registered as a Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)Sleep equipment knowledge (Compumedics GRAEL, CPAP use, TcCO2)Sleep software knowledge (Profusion)Residency requirements
