Our Parks and Gardens Branch is responsible for the care, management, and operation of a comprehensive network of public open space and recreational areas established for active and passive recreation for the community and the preservation of the natural features of the landscape and environment along the Sunshine Coast, largely within the urban environment.
About the Role: As a Skilled Parks Worker, you will carry out key plant operation activities in delivering and maintaining the efficient and effective day-to-day operation of parks, natural areas, roadside vegetation, and landscape improvement activities.
About You: As a Skilled Parks Worker, you will assist in horticulture/arboriculture, including but not limited to tree planting, pruning, maintenance, nursery operations, and landscaping. You will work effectively as a member of a high-performing work team and ensure the provision of quality customer service.
Minimum Requirements: CPCCOHS1001A - Work Safely in the Construction Industry - White Card.Certificate III in Horticulture or relevant experience.AC/DC Licence.Essential to your success is physical agility and the fitness, strength, and dexterity to carry out laboring and frequent heavy lifting & bending. Appointment to this position is subject to completion of a pre-employment medical assessment.
