SIX8 Australia are seeking applications from Civil Site Supervisors to join our team on recent project wins in Rockhampton & Gladstone QLD.
5 & 6 Day Work Weeks Vehicle Provided Immediate start Reporting to the Project Superintendent, these positions will provide effective hands-on supervision of the project workforce to deliver contracted works in accordance with the client program. This role will be responsible for effective management of workers including subcontractors, planning and monitoring daily schedule of work, regular communication with site leadership and other stakeholders, encouraging a positive safety culture, and ensuring quality, safety, and environmental systems are met.
To be successful in the role: Experience in supervising civil construction projects Knowledge of the civil construction industry Extensive experience in supervising workers and performance outcomes effectively Extensive experience in supervising concrete or civil works Knowledge and experience in the application of Integrated Quality Management and Safety Systems Ability to read and interpret drawings Able to identify, analyse and solve technical problems Capable of contributing to the development of reporting, progress claims, and safety documentation Qualification / training in Civil Supervision and/or equivalent years of experience Current Queensland Open Drivers Licence General Construction Induction (white card) Requirements: Bachelor in Civil Engineering + at least 4 years on site civil construction experience OR Cert IV in Civil Construction + at least 10 years civil construction experience About you: Well-developed written and communication skills Self-motivated in the completion of tasks Use of confidentiality, and discretion when dealing with sensitive information Able to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders Able to manage time effectively, using strong organisational skills Lead by example, acting ethically and with integrity Treat all people with respect Able to take direction and follow instructions Desire to work cooperatively in a team environment to achieve goals Actively comply with industry standards and related policies and procedures Perform tasks only when competent and authorised to do so Perform with a high level of attention to detail About SIX8 Australia SIX8 Australia was birthed out of a need for support.
