You will ensure continuous production in the plant with focus on safety, reliability, continuous improvement, and regulatory compliance Maintain optimal accuracy of measuring equipment (e.g. scales) and settings of all automation related controller parameters, inputs devices (e.g. adjusting sensors) and outputs device (e.g. adjusting speed & force of pneumatic rams and motors)Ensure safety critical controls are working to correctly at all times in order to maintain a rigid safety integrity of the plantFurther, you will manage the asset tree, in consultation with the plant manager, to ensure it reflects the current equipment in use Additionally, you will manage the preventative maintenance policies in consultation with the relevant parties i.e. plant manager, depot operations manager, technical and maintenanceAlso. you will proactively plan preventative maintenance on critical equipment/controls to avoid work orders becoming over-due You will ensure Elgas approved contractors are utilized for breakdown and regular plant maintenance Raising work orders, circulating, follow-up and closing is part of this roleProviding monthly reports on critical and non-critical work orders / equipment whilst also assist in monthly review of permit to work compliance activitiesAssist the plant manager in documenting, initiating, planning and closing of all change management activities on site and provide monthly report on opened/closed/in progress MOC Also, you will support in conducting risk assessments on standard processes on site and assist plant manager in reviewing/updating SOPs related to routine work on site Assume plant manager duties during times of absence of plant managerWhat makes you great You possess a tertiary qualification in mechanical or related engineering field and 2 years+ experience in an engineering role (industrial gases and/or LPG industry desirable)Broad understanding of LPG processes would be an advantageA keen eye for automation and familiarity with adjusting automation related controller parameters, inputs devices (e.g. adjusting sensors) and outputs device (e.g. adjusting speed & force of pneumatic rams and motors) Further, proven ability to communicate effectively whilst driving positive outcomes with multiple key stakeholders is a win for allMultitasking & managing competing priorities is a plusYou have the ability to work independently and in a team environment as required Computer literacy (use of production and maintenance systems would be an advantage) Safety leadership and change management skills - highly regardedWhy you will love working with us At Linde you will be surrounded by knowledgeable people who love what they do.
