ABOUT THE ROLE As a Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for project delivery and onsite supervision for various clients including commercial properties, aged care and retirement living facilities, retail fit outs, and prison/detention centre projects.
Typically, you will manage multiple projects at one time, 6-8 projects all at different stages, all approximately $100k to $1M in project value.
To be suitable for this role, you are required to have a trade qualification as a builder, carpenter, or electrician.
This role ensures that refurbishment projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards and specifications.
The Site Supervisor coordinates with various sub-contractors, manages resources, and maintains effective communication with internal stakeholders and clients, while being sensitive to the needs and environment of our clients.
This is a full-time permanent position.
The working hours change depending on client and project requirements, but typically, Monday to Friday 7 AM – 4:30 PM.
You will work from client sites north of the river and may occasionally be required to visit the office in Welshpool to catch up with the team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in the preparation and implementation of project plans and schedules specific to refurbishment projects.Organise sub-contractors as per program schedule.Coordinate and supervise on-site activities to ensure efficient workflow, minimizing disruption to residents.Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards, particularly in a sensitive living environment.Supervise and direct the activities of on-site workers and subcontractors.Ensure sub-contractors are inducted, signed in, and compliant.Oversee daily construction onsite, ensuring minimal disruption to clients.Manage and allocate resources, including labor, materials, and equipment.Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports for the Project Manager.Conduct quality inspections and ensure that any defects are corrected.Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for workers, sub-contractors, clients, and residents.Conduct weekly site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.Address and rectify any safety issues promptly, with special attention to the well-being of clients and the public.Provide updates on project status to the MSS Project Admin team and escalate issues to the Project Manager.Liaise with clients, facility managers, residents, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders as required.Maintain detailed and accurate project documentation.Ensure all documentation is up to date and properly filed in SharePoint.REQUIREMENTS Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Site Supervisor, Foreman, Construction Manager, Leading Hand, or similar related role - preferably with experience in aged care and commercial fit outs.Trade Qualification requiredAdditional Requirements:
