Site Supervisor/Foreman - $25m Aged Care Project - Builder/Developer
Busy Aged Care Builder/Developer are looking for a Site Supervisor/Foreman for a $25m Aged Care project in Canberra.
This company is great to work for, very financially stable, and has a strong pipeline of work for years to come.
They are seeking people who have a carpentry background, and this would suit a Leading Hand looking to step up.
As the Site Supervisor, you will work closely with the Site Manager to oversee the successful delivery of projects, ensuring adherence to safety standards, quality benchmarks, and project timelines. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, coordinating subcontractors, and communicating effectively with the project team.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Site Manager in coordinating and supervising all construction activities
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
Oversee the excavation, structure, and finishes phases of the project
Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project objectives are met
Provide leadership and guidance to site staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
Monitor project progress and report to the Site Manager on a regular basis
Act as a mentor to junior staff, preparing them for future leadership roles
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Leading Hand or Supervisor/Foreman delivering projects in excess of $10m
Carpentry background
Previous experience with Tier 1-2 or well-known Tier 3 construction companies
Good proven tenure at previous companies
Strong commitment to safety and excellent communication skills
Proficiency in managing excavation, structure, and finishes phases of construction projects
A can-do attitude and good work ethic
Ability to effectively lead a team and solve problems under pressure
