Site/Plant Manager, ANZ (Based in Wacol, Brisbane)About the RoleThis is an exceptional opportunity to join our Global Operations team as a Site/Plant Manager based in Wacol, Brisbane (Immediate Hire).The Site Manager reports to the VP of Global Ops (APAC) and is responsible for ensuring that all activities related to manufacturing, logistics, scheduling, and HSE-Q assurance are performed at the optimal level. The site manager's scope of control includes ensuring a safe and regulatory-compliant workplace while managing costs associated with delivering on the customer's promise. The position is key to ensuring that business runs trouble-free daily.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure regulatory and safety compliance at the site, inclusive of registered establishment requirements.Signatory on required outputs for transfer and export of prescribed goods as described under the Export Control Act.Drive manufacturing targets in terms of operational costs and efficiency.Liaise with the QA Lead to reduce customer complaints in keeping with global FS targets.Ensure OTIF targets are met or exceeded for the region.Work together with procurement to identify opportunities to improve procurement activity.Establish a system to benchmark the competitiveness of suppliers and monitor on an ongoing basis.Maintain inventory levels following CCC targets.Manage slow-moving, obsolete, and blocked stocks.Monitor costs associated with warehouse and distribution and verify invoices.Ensure effective partnering with internal interfaces such as Sales Managers, Production, Finance, and Quality.EHSQSPerform, maintain, and improve the EHSQS standard and requirements as set by the Company. Participate in the company's EHSQS program including training, audits, etc.Assume the role of Element Owner/Co-Element Owner/EHSQS Committee/Emergency Response team in Journey to EHS Excellence (J2EE) where required.Align personal goals and objectives with the site's Strategic Plan.Assist with driving cultural improvement of the production/warehouse team on EHSQS in line with J2EE objectives and plans.Assist with identifying, controlling, and eliminating hazards in the production environment.Maintain all certifications with AQIS, Safefood Queensland, BRC, and QAP.About YouThe successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following competencies:5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment within the chemical, food ingredient/food-related industries.At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role in managing people.Strong competencies in SAP and Microsoft programs.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.Highly organized with excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Hands-on experience in handling process equipment.Able to commence work within short notice is ideal.Key Personal AttributesStrong personality – able to build rapport with internal & external stakeholders.Resilience and able to work under tight pressure.Experience in handling food-grade products will be an added advantage.About UsSupported by our 160-year history of ingredient innovation, we partner with customers to provide consumers with healthier and tastier choices when they eat and drink.
