Site Manager

Details of the offer

Yakka Solutions are working with a commercial construction company to find a skilled and experienced Site Manager.
This hospitality refurbishment project is located in Townsville, QLD.
The project will run for roughly six months and is valued at $3.5m.
After this initial project is completed, there will be more regional work on offer.
This could be in Northern or Southern QLD.
The successful applicant needs to be flexible with the potential for work away from home (accommodation and allowances provided).
This role is open to Site Managers that aren't currently based in Townsville.
Roles and Responsibilities:

Coordinate subcontractors on-site to maintain efficient progress of work
Communicate with the Project Manager to resolve worksite issues
Ensure the safe and efficient set out of the construction site, including necessary amenities
Manage the safe and efficient storage of materials, plant, and equipment on-site.
Liaise with clients and consultants to resolve relevant project issues
Coordinate all sub-contractors and sub-contract works to ensure adherence to construction drawings

Requirements:

Proven experience in a commercial construction site-based role.
Strong client service and interaction skills
Excellent verbal and listening communication skills
Ability to lead and manage a team effectively
Exceptional time management abilities
Competence in operating plant and equipment safely
Track record of successfully assessing and resolving construction problems

Education and Certifications:

Appropriate QBCC license (Supervisor License)
Current Driver's License
Construction Safety Induction (blue/white card)
Fire Safety and Awareness (re-evaluated every 12 months)
First Aid (re-evaluated every 3 years)
