As the leader in their space, the core values circle around excellence, personnel longevity, good relationships and sustainability in the SA Building Industry, and we are delighted to be selected as their hiring partner.Your RoleThe Site Manager is responsible for managing the project site on behalf of the company from prestart through to handover, in accordance with company HSEQ policies, brand identity and client services. The Site Manager maintains excellent working relationships with subcontractors, architects and Project Managers and typical duties include:Maintaining thorough working knowledge of the contract, drawings and specifications pertaining to the projectSetting out the works on site and checking the works created by othersManaging materials, subcontractors and labour and coordinating deliveries to the project siteCoordinating staff and subcontractors daily to achieve the program outcomeSupervising all staff operating on site in respect to work quality, personal presentation and behaviour and raising issues immediately with the Project Managers if the program is likely to be affectedPlacing orders for sundry material requirements in a timely, cost-effective mannerMaintaining required project records, such as diaries and architect instructions, and carry out any other required administrative tasksReporting on the progress of the work daily to the Project ManagersPerforming regular inspections of the work on site to ensure the quality of product meets all expectations and aim to exceed higher than expected outcomes to ensure client satisfactionEnsuring target programs are distributed and regularly updatedParticipating in weekly subcontractor meetings and ensuring that the agenda and minutes are recorded and filedEnsuring that all site instructions and subcontractor activities are recordedIn conjunction with the Site Safety Officer, ensuring that all plant and equipment on site registers are up to date and accurate and performing site inductions for person entering the siteOther DetailsThe position is Full-Time, Monday – Friday with occasional Saturday works depending on the project and client. Remuneration is commensurate with skills and experience and the package is circa $200K per annum.
