That's just one of the many ways in which we create a connection with our communities.About the roleSalary package includes base + super + bonus potential + vehicle, laptop and mobileOngoing training and developmentAs the Site Manager of our Brookestead grain storage and distribution site, you'll supervise a small team of Grain Handlers and perform a wide range of activities involved in the safe and efficient receival, storage and outload of commodities:Coordinate day-to-day activities of the team; coach and support development of team membersGet to know, understand and apply our enterprise agreement and people processesDevelop and maintain close relationships with local growers, customers, and the local communityCoordinate and prepare for area maintenance and pest control teams to deliver required servicesIdentify and report on maintenance requirements and maintain site presentation and standardsManage programmes and initiatives related to safety ('zero harm' culture) and risk management.Our busiest time of the year is the annual post-winter harvest period, which can last for up to three months and involves managing several harvest casuals and contractors in receiving thousands of tonnes of grain from local growers. It's an incredibly rewarding experience seeing local grain fill up silos and bunkers, delivered by diverse, hardworking and passionate teams.About your experienceYou'll succeed in this role if you've had experience in plant operations (ideally the Grain industry) and:Experience supervising, supporting and developing workgroups / individualsAbility and willingness to work flexible hours to meet operational demandsCapacity to work at heights and in confined spacesCurrent unrestricted driver licence and basic IT literacy.Ready to apply/Next stepsThe next steps are easy!
