DO NOT APPLY THROUGH PORTAL. APPLY DIRECTLY AT: We are currently seeking a Site Depot and Commissioning Manager within the Mindyarra Maintenance Centre based in Dubbo. The role is responsible for leading coordination and managing the assembly, testing and delivery activities of the Vehicle area within the warehouse in Dubbo, ensuring compliance with the manufacturing plan, on time, cost and quality:
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Understand clients request and coordinate internal team for appropriate actions.Lead the establishment of the overall success criteria for the testing & commissioning phase of the projects, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters.Manage the integration of testing & commissioning workstreams - including resolution of key interface issues.Collect all the needs of external resources from the different departments involved in the testing & commissioning phase and procure or request to the customer these resources.Coordinate the technical, quality and engineering related issues that arise during the testing & commissioning process.Able to work under pressure and tight schedule milestones.Easy and capable of adequately managing groups of people.Able to deal with ongoing issues and issues with (materials, modifications, customer, etc.)Ensure that productivity and target quality level are achieved on a daily basis (monitoring of cost targets).Communicate and network with other departmental managers regarding inventory performance to ensure production targets are met.Able to identify and anticipate the main risks related to production that could cause excessive costs and delays along the production line.Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of staff and visitors.Adequate understanding of CAF's situation within the Depot, ensuring smooth coordination and relationship with Contractors and the Client, daily.Lead and follow up the daily activity schedule, collect all the needs of external resources from the different departments involved in the TCW, testing & commissioning phase and procure or request to the Maintenance operator or client these resources.Collaborate with other departments such as Quality, Testing and Manufacturing to identify and schedule all activities required for the train commissioning.Set departmental goals/KPI's and review and evaluate ongoing performance of direct reports.Manage and lead the team, ensuring proper staffing levels, managing vacation assignments, hiring, training, development, appraisal, support, disciplinary issues and daily supervision to maximize efficient productivity.Motivate and coach the team for operational success.Ensure the successful acceptance of the trains by the customer according to the project schedule.Ensure accurate records are completed and maintained in accordance with procedures in place, and work in progress is communicated to Line Managers and team members.RequirementsPROFILE Have at least 5 years' experience in similar or related roles.Possess a tertiary qualification relevant to the position such as University education equivalent to a Higher Engineering Diploma/Master's Degree in the respective field or an Engineering Diploma/Bachelor's Degree.Experience with office management software e.g. MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, specifically).Knowledge and understanding of rolling stock systems.Knowledge of relevant Australian and international rolling stock standards.Highly developed problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.The ability to provide timely, customer-focused specialist engineering advice and support.Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information clearly and concisely working with both Spain and Local managers.Highly milestone and objective targeted skills.CAF Rail Australia is committed to achieve diversity within the workforce.
