Alfred Health and Monash Health have established a formal partnership to deliver a Shared Pathology Service as one of three new pathology networks for metropolitan Melbourne.
All roles in the Pathology Programs are working to develop the Partnership across the Health Services to ensure we continue to provide high quality care for the patients across the health services.
Alfred Pathology Service (APS) provides a comprehensive range of pathology testing, consultation services and collection services to clinicians and patients of Alfred Health.
The Service has 5 units (Anatomical Pathology, Clinical Biochemistry, Haematology, Microbiology and Human Molecular Pathology), each headed by a Unit Head.
APS has the core laboratory at The Alfred as well as a small local laboratory at Sandringham Hospital.
The Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Quality Management System (QMS) Administrative Assistant who will be responsible for timely, accurate data formatting and input into the QMS including equipment lists, controlled documentation, checklists, and other data for the Shared Pathology service for Alfred and Monash Health.
This role provides direct support and guidance from the Single QMS Implementation Project Officer and Quality Manager ensuring data input is tightly controlled and maintained.
Full training in the use of the new QMS will be provided.
Currently, there are two independent functioning Quality Management systems at Alfred Pathology and Monash Pathology, with individualised policies and procedures used in the two services.
The procured single QMS is a cloud-based solution and will be designed and structured to support a future state that will foresee the partnership model transition to a single pathology entity.
Experience & Qualifications
Essential
Excellent data entry/ input skills.
Strong Information Technology knowledge including Windows-based environments Microsoft Office suite software.
Proven record of strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Strong understanding of document control principles.
Experience in document management is highly desirable.
Experience using Quality Management Systems software such as Q-Pulse and FastTrack is desirable.
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
High level of initiative and motivation.

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team environment.
Ability to be flexible and adaptable, especially in a changing environment.
