25% casual loading) + 15% afternoon shift allowance + 30% night shift allowance with weekend penalty rates + OT (where available) An opportunity exists for multiple casual positions for Production Brassica Operators at Simplot Devonport.
Reporting to the Process Area Manager and commencing early February 2025, these casual roles will work as part of a busy production team in the processing of farm fresh, locally grown brassica vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts) into market leading frozen vegetable products that Australians love to enjoy.
With attractive base hourly rates of $37.83 p/h (incl.
of 25% casual loading), the Production Brassica season will run until approx.
July / August 2025 (harvest yield dependent).
Day shift: 0650 - 1500hrs Afternoon shift: 1450 - 2300hrs Night shift: 1050 - 0700hrs What You Will Do Working within a food manufacturing environment, the Production Brassica Operator will undertake duties including (but not limited to): Safe operations of vegetable processing fixed plant & equipment Intake activities Quality inspection Sorting / separation of received raw material Raw material grading Monitoring of production lines Contribute to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and quality initiatives Clean down of plant & equipment + general work areas About You Possess a 100% commitment to health and safety in the workplace Ability to work over a 7 day roster inclusive of day / afternoon / night shifts with the flexibility to adapt to site operational requirements Ability to undertake repetitive manual handling tasks in an active manual role Be available for commencement in early Feb 2025 with the roles ending in mid-2025 Experience in a vegetable processing or manufacturing environment will be highly regarded Hold valid Australian work rights with a valid visa until a minimum of August 2025 Possess a strong, reliable work ethic with positive communication skills Willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical (incl.
