With continual growth and diversification, we are currently seeking a Shipyard Manager to join our maritime team in Dampier.The role is residential with housing provided 4X2 with a pool. The Shipyard Manager will report to the Operations Manager and is responsible for delivery of production scope.The core responsibility of this role is to ensure all day to day & project tasks are completed safely, to the agreed quality and technical standards, through the management of tradespersons and other team members engaged on Birdon Marine projects at the Marine Slipway based in Dampier (and other locations as directed from time to time).Key Accountabilities:Oversee day to day operations of the Dampier Slipway facility.Onsite high authority to Slipway team.Maintain relationships with key stakeholders including Toll and Pilbara Ports.Liaison with the vessels owners and Birdon Supervisors in regards to work packages and project schedules.Work with bids team in tendering process to win local work.Assist in the coordination of sub-contractors engaged on projects carried out on the Birdon facility.Initiating variations to contracts as required on each project.Preparing service reports for all aspects of engineering.Minimum Requirements:Minimum 5 years management experience in the maritime industry.Good leadership skills.Good written and verbal communication skills.Dockmaster certification.EAP certification.We deliver value for our customers through our innovative people, organisational agility, and operational excellence.
