With over 100 years of experience and a team of over 1,250 skilled professionals, they specialise in simplifying supply chains and delivering customised solutions for a diverse range of industries.The OpportunityOur client is seeking a Shift Supervisor to join their Darwin team.
Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, this hands-on leadership role involves managing their stevedoring workforce.
They're looking for a people-focused leader who prioritizes safety, operational excellence and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, organize and oversee the safe and efficient loading and unloading of freight from vessels.Lead, motivate and direct employees to meet Linx's safety and operational standards.Communicate work instructions, policies and procedures to the workforce.Allocate labour and equipment to ensure cost-effective and efficient operations.Drive performance and promote continuous improvement across shifts.Cultivate and maintain a strong safety culture, including conducting toolbox talks, safety observations and corrective actions.Work variable shifts to accommodate shipping schedules and business needs.About YouTo be successful in this role, you'll bring:Proven experience in a supervisory role within logistics or a similar industry.A track record of effectively managing diverse teams.Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including days, afternoons, nights and weekends.Strong leadership, communication and people management skills.The ability to perform under pressure and meet strict deadlines.A strong background in planning, problem-solving and reporting.Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).A strong commitment to upholding safety standards and compliance.The ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.The BenefitsCompetitive remuneration packageShort-term incentive bonusFull-time position with career development opportunitiesPositive workplace culture with a supportive teamEmployee Assistance and Wellbeing ProgramThey believe in fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion and encourage everyone to apply.Apply NowReady to lead and make an impact?
