Job Description In this role you will be responsible for the credit performance of Shift's Trade product against predefined KPIs. The role encompasses owning credit decisioning models , portfolio management and monitoring the end-to-end operational performance of the business for factors that influence the credit performance of the product portfolio.
Own the credit performance of Shift's Trade product from origination through to recovery ensuring the portfolio grows in line with Shift's expectations of credit loss. This will involve taking ownership of origination models, customer account monitoring and analysis for of platform and processes for factors that are influencing credit performance.
Provide recommendations for changes to the models, credit policy and underwriting guidelines.
Serve as a member of the Trade management team, responsible for reporting on the credit performance and its influencing factors to the broader group
Ensure portfolio is optimised by ensuring exposure to low risk grade customers is increase whilst reduced to those that deteriorate .
Provide performance reporting to 2nd Line Risk responding appropriately to any queries
Qualifications Tertiary Qualifications in quantitative study Additional Information +5 years experience in a portfolio management, risk management role that is quantitative in nature (nice to have)
Experience using data to make commercial risk decisions
Technically competent with data – able to use SQL
Ability to use data and to make actionable recommendations to change models and business processes
Ability to be wholistically analytical, being able to explain the data and what is influencing it.
Ability to make decisions in a logical and considered way
Ability to communicate respectfully in a succinct and informative manner
