Health, Safety & Environment (Construction) Full time Eco Resources, Premium Waste Management and Premium Allsands is a leader in waste management, resource recovery, recycling services, and provision of high-quality sand and quarry products throughout Western Australia. As the SHEQ Supervisor, you will work to develop working partnerships with Management to implement safety initiatives and drive a continuous improvement approach, as well as develop an annual schedule of activities to meet the objectives of the SHEQ Management Plan.
Occupational Health, Safety, Environment & Quality Compliance: Promote and demonstrate leadership of the 'always safe' Charter and 'Golden Rules' Comply with company policies and procedures Comply with company ISO accreditations Comply with the Return to Work Act, Safe Work Health Act Obligations and Regulations, and other statutory and regulatory obligations Key Responsibilities: Carry out assigned tasks as defined in the SHEQ Management Action Plan Undertake risk assessments and develop work instructions in consultation with workers Ensure currency of work instructions and training materials Ensure health surveillance programs are conducted in accordance with Environmental Management Plans, statutory and regulatory obligations Undertake internal audits and workplace inspections to ensure safe systems or work are in place Support, coach, and train employees in risk assessments and implementation of controls Schedule and lead toolbox meetings Facilitate contractor inductions Conduct investigations and ensure the quality of conclusions and corrective actions Create SHEQ reports in accordance with the SHEQ Management and business plans. Undertake other tasks as directed by the General Manager. Performance: In consultation with Management, identify and monitor KPI's Ensure activities are managed in accordance with procedures and issues escalated to Management. In consultation with management, obtain service provider and supplier quotes and raise purchase requisitions for approval Verify completion of service provider and supplier scopes of work Use consumables efficiently to minimise waste and reduce costs Contribute to business improvements by providing feedback on existing processes and identifying potential improvements to reduce costs. Administration: Use Skytrust and other software applications as required by policies, procedures, and work instructions Maintain records and follow administrative procedures in accordance with policies and procedures Qualifications / Licenses / Certificates: Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field Occupational/Environmental/Road traffic management certification or studies Skills & Experience: Demonstrated safety leadership Advanced communication skills (written and verbal) Extensive experience applying safety and environmental legislation in the work environment Advanced computer and data analysis skills that extend to report collation and presentation Teamwork Advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills Demonstrated OHS experience gained within manufacturing, heavy industry, mines, construction, maintenance, automotive workshops, operations or shutdowns Demonstrated ability to develop safety-first improvement plans to drive and promote proactive safety awareness programs Experience conducting root cause analysis investigations If you feel you have the qualifications skills and experience necessary, you can apply now by submitting your cover letter and resume by clicking on the 'Apply' button.
