Bank Reconciliation Officer | Finance Officer NSW State Government 6 Months Contract $43.20 per hour + super Goulburn + WFH Description: The Bank Reconciliation Officer will be responsible for performing daily reconciliations of transactions, identifying and resolving discrepancies, and supporting accurate financial reporting. This role involves close collaboration with various internal departments to ensure efficient financial operations and compliance with accounting standards.

What we're looking for: At least 6 months experience in an accounts role with a heavy focus on reconciliations.Previous experience with a large ERP system.Intermediate Excel skills.Experience in a high volume, transactional environment.Strong communication skills and high attention to detail.Ability to meet deadlines, multitask, and have a can-do attitude.Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively within a team. What you'll do: Conduct daily reconciliations of receipts from our payment portals.Collate data in Excel from various reporting tools to assist with reconciling.Investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances in transactions.Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial record-keeping.Ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant accounting standards.Identify opportunities for process improvements in reconciliation and reporting procedures.Support the Senior Officers with issue resolution.Preparation and posting of journals.Resolve email inquiries and tickets from internal and external stakeholders.
